Not to be trifled with, Gelato Messina understand the assignment when it comes to festive feasting. Enter the aptly named Christmas Coma Trifle; this year featuring layers of strawberry marsala jelly, lemon curd, strawberry roullade, lemon custard gelato and strawberry sorbet. Order a trifle and you’ll also come home with a 1L bottle of Messina brandy custard and a Messina print cooler bag.

At this time of year, the purpose of this purpose-built bakery is to bring festive inspired, handcrafted baked goods of the highest quality. Whether you’re chasing something savoury to go with early morning presents or looking for a much-needed post-nap sugar hit, James St Bakery have the carb you need.

The early bird gets the worm (or bread in this case) with orders closing at 5pm on Wednesday 18 December.

 

Jocelyn’s Provisions

Go full Christmas with Jocelyn’s Provisions’ comprehensive Christmas catering options. To start, kick things off with the beef and red wine mini pies alongside the spinach and cheese mini sausage rolls, before tucking into the main event, a maple rum glazed ham with Israeli couscous and green herb potato salad. To round out the day, we’re making a beeline for the Christmas cheesecake and might sneak a bite or two of the Pfefferneusse while we’re at it.
