Let’s Eat: James St Food + Wine Trail Returns This July!

What do you say when you're asked, 'Would you like to make that a large?' Well, if there's ever a day to give a resounding yes — it's James St Food + Wine Trail (JSFWT). Back on Sunday 27 July, this annual gourmet market serves a supersized lineup of food, flavour and fun.

The Main Course
Over 8,000 squares metres of James St and its surrounds closed to traffic and transformed into a one big, open-air dining hall – only better! Think restaurant quality food and drink whipped up and dished out of 40 miniature reincarnations of the much loved and award-winning restaurants, bars and cafés that call the precinct home. Small only in size, these artisanal stalls are taking you on a globe-trotting trip with far-flung flavours and the prime produce from our own (metaphorical) backyard.

But your appetite isn’t the only one in for a treat come Sunday 27 July. While your mouth gets its manger on, boogie your buns off to live music from bands and DJs, plus keep your mini me’s entertained with facepainting and activities at the kids’ zone.

The Sides
If you ask us, it’s the sides that maketh the meal. It goes without saying then, that the meal that is JSFWT, needs a few sides of its own. Enter the one-off events and exclusive menu items running in-venue alongside The Main Course (see above), including the likes of long-lunches, limited edition ice cream flavours and a discounted stay you can’t refuse.
