If dancing through the corridors of The Calile is on your bucket list, you will be thrilled to learn you can on Tuesday 23 April as part of the hotel’s ongoing Calile Culture series.
Let us rephrase that, Australasian Dance Collective (ADC) performers will be dancing their way through the hotel, and you are invited to join them. The boiler-room-style show where guests will be led through the hotel’s event spaces will culminate in a post-show conversation – dance and chats, what better way to spend your Tuesday evening.
The dance component of the evening will feature vignettes aka elegant snap-shots of renowned ADC performances; Aftermath, Still Life, Dull Boy, and Truth Beauty Suffering. While the in conversation will welcome ADC’s Artistic Director and CEO Amy Hollingsworth to the stage alongside; ADC’s Associate Artistic Director Jack Lister; ADC’s Rehearsal Director & Artistic Advisor Gabrielle Nankivell; Musician, producer, composer Louis Frere-Harvey; and ADC Company Artists Harrison Elliott, Lilly King, Taiga Kita-Leong, Lily Potger, and Georgia Van Gils to discuss their collaborative process and artistic practises.
This is one-night only opportunity to see and hear ADC Up Close and Personal with a multi-media presentation of film, dance and discussion is not to be missed, reserve your tickets here.
If your social calendar is already at capacity on Tuesday 23 April, you can still get a taste of the ADC action with a rotating display of dance projections showing at The Calile on Level 1 between Friday 19 to Tuesday 23 April from 6–10PM at dark.
