Join Jocelyn’s Provisions on Friday 26 August in The Terrace of The Calile for an in conversation with legendary baker Michael James and resident James St chefs.
Michael James – previously behind Melbourne’s Tivioli Road Bakery – is one of the highest regarded bakers in Australia. Now, as an educator and the mastermind behind The Tivioli Road Baker and All Day Baking and Savoury, Not Sweet cookbooks, Michael remains committed to bringing ‘real bread’ with the best quality ingredients and fermentation processes to as many people as possible.
The James St chefs joining the talk and tasting are Adam Wolfers from Gerard’s Bistro, Phil Marchant behind Essa and of course, the owner of Jocelyn’s Provisions Caitlin Gallagher.
The panellists will be joined by multi-award-wining chef and author Martin Boetz (formally Longrain Sydney, Melbourne and The Cooks Shed) who will chair the discussion. Topic points will focus on the nation’s growing obsession with quality baked goods, how cultural divides might be bridged through food, as well as identifying current food trends and future predictions.
The chefs will prepare tastings from Michael’s book All Day Baking and Savoury, Not Sweet for guests to enjoy throughout the conversation.
