REDSEA Gallery is pleased to present an Exhibition of Studies.

Studies play a vital role in the artistic process and prove a raw and unresolved creativity.  A study is a visual note; a drawing, sketch or painting done in preparation for a finished piece. Studies are used to understand the problems involved in rendering subjects and to plan the elements to be used in finished works, such as light, colour and form. Not only do these initial sketches harbour great insight into an artist’s practice, but, as this exhibition will show, these studies can also stand up independently as great works themselves.

The exhibition will feature the studies of artists David Rankin, Robert Ryan, Joseph Rolella, and Christian Palmer.
