Mitchell Fine Art presents George Gittoes

One of Australia’s most important and controversial artists, George Gittoes will hold an exhibition of his life’s work at Mitchell Fine Art from July 27th.  Represented in some of Australia’s most prestigious collections, ‘Night Vision’ will be Gittoes first exhibition in Brisbane.

 For nearly 4 decades Gittoes has documented the best and worst of some of the world’s most notorious human conflicts in South Africa Bosnia and Afghanistan. His artworks capture the atrocities and attacks on basic human rights and have typically reflected his social, political and humanitarian observations of mans treatment of his fellow man.

 Opening Friday 29th July at 6pm with Gittoes will in attendance.

 On Saturday July 30th George Gittoes will conduct an artist talk in the gallery from 11am.

 The gallery will also open on Sunday 31st July from 11am – 3pm.
