TWFINEART is pleased to present Matt Sheridan’s ‘Elegant Brutality’ Exhibition to their brand new studio on Robertson St!
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Matt Sheridan, he is a Los Angeles-based artist, who projected his ‘Castles Made of Sand‘ animation fusing ballet with film and animated painting-in-motion at last year’s RESORT After Dark.
Sherdian’s latest exhibition Elegant Brutality consists of eight small paintings and four prints derived from Sheridan’s video Follower (2016), in which swaggering paint strokes are surrounded by swarming planes of colour. Stills from Follower were chosen as models to generate the constructivist expressionism of the paintings and prints.
